Consultations in rural Ceredigion
Visioning Days
In conjunction with the Ceredigion 2020 Partnership, Cynnal Ceredigion organised seven consultation events in October and November 2006, known as Visioning Days throughout Ceredigion. Events were located in Cardigan, Aberaeron, Ystrad Meurig, Llandysul, Lampeter, Penparcau and Aberystwyth which ensured all areas in Ceredigion were accounted for.
The purpose of these events was to give the community an opportunity to voice their opinion about Ceredigion and most importantly the issues they felt should be addressed in the future. Each event was well attended, and the information received will prove to be extremely important in future strategy and decisions.
Following on from the Community events held during October and November 2006 initial feed back has demonstrated the need for on going community engagement and community members were keen that some form of feedback following on from these events should happen.
Cynnal Ceredigion in conjunction with Ceredigion 2020 Partnership will continue working within the six key settlement areas, and will look at working more in the outlying village areas rather than within the key towns. We plan to coordinate 4 Village Visioning/Engagement activities in the Key Settlements in 2007.
